About Me

I am a Councillor at Town, District and County levels - more or less a full-time job. This means that my concerns range from sorting out issues like over-hanging branches to multi-million pound budgets. I am comfortable with this diversity; in fact it gives me immense satisfaction.
I am Conservative because, among other things, I believe in good housekeeping, getting value for money, encouraging community development and personal responsibility.
I've lived in Tynedale all my life; born in Corbridge, brought up in Humshaugh and Wall, educated at Haydon Bridge and trained in Hexham - where I now live with my wife, Eileen. My commitment to the County and the North-East in general is total, having my two sons and their families (five grandchildren) close by.
